Tom, This is about intelligibility. You should not use a mic with close effect (most dynamic mics do boost bass when used closely) or not hold the mic close to the mouth. The whole audio chain and mainly the speakers have a lot of influence. Try to compare different speakers at different levels at a store and you will hear the difference in performance. |
