JMS Marketing has a new Mobile Showroom which is now on the road making stops throughout the JMS territory. The Mobile Showroom is a 40-foot trailer filled with professional audio, lighting, and musical instrument products. The outside is covered by the logos of the manufacturers of these products, making it a rolling billboard seen by tens of thousands of people across thousands of miles of highway. The Mobile Showroom is totally self-contained, powered by a diesel generator. It is heated and/or cooled and has two large built-in audio racks filled with wired, working gear. The rear door folds down as a stage for live performances. At the front of the trailer's interior, there is a 32" monitor and computer set up for presentations and surrounded by speakers built into soffits. The speakers can be listened to individually enabling one to compare the various speaker products. All interior walls were designed using slat board and are loaded with instruments.
The primary purpose of the Mobile Showroom is to give retail buyers a hands-on experience with the products, in a controlled environment, away from the store and ringing telephones. This saves the buyers time and enables them to order product with more confidence.
The Mobile Showroom is also the perfect training platform, allowing complete focus in a controlled environment for the dealers' sales staff. As a result, a manufacturer's product line can be presented effectively and efficiently in a timely manner with maximum impact.
The trailer is also great for bringing products to consumers at special events. In Summer 2002, the JMS Mobile Showroom made a trip to Mouton's Music in Crowley, LA for Mouton's annual guitar sale. Along with live music and revelry in front of Mouton's, customers were able to escape the heat in the air conditioned Mobile Showroom while trying out the equipment inside.
The Mobile Showroom will be pulling in to Anaheim CA just in time for the winter NAMM show.
