Alcons Audio is a newly founded Dutch company, active in development and manufacturing of professional sound systems for quality-conscious clients in the cinema, installation and touring industry. The company was set up by former Stage Accompany sales & marketing director Tom Back in October. "Not satisfied with the products available on the market and the opportunities we had in our previous positions, we left as a team and decided to establish our own company" Alcons Audio will offer a first view on its product range at the ProLight+Sound Frankfurt and show what Alcons stands for in terms of processing technology, amplifiers and pro ribbon applications. Hall 9.2, stand B62.
Alcons Audio is backed by a group of private investors with Tom Back and Philip de Haan owning the majority of shares. The company employs seven people in total, each of which is experienced in the different aspects of development, manufacturing and marketing of professional sound systems.
The R&D department of Alcons Audio features a unique combination of extensive know-how in transducer-, acoustics and system design, as well as DSP and amplifier technology. This combination has led to products as world's first long-throw ribbon-loaded SR system, the Newton modular DSP-controlled line-array.
Previous products of the R&D team can be found around the globe; the Artist (FKA Prince), Walt Disney, Blue Note jazz clubs USA, Panavision studios Hollywood, Malej theatre Russia, Ster Century cinemas Europe, Royal National Theater London, Teatro Sao Paulo Brazil, Lingotto theatre Italy, to name just a few.
