Yamaha and Nexo join forces

Yamaha Corporation, Japan, and Nexo S.A. France, have reached a basic agreement to enter into a strategic alliance with respect to professional audio product development and product distribution. Both companies expect the integration of advanced digital technology and premier loudspeaker technology will enhance and expand available system solutions for professional audio products. As a part of the alliance, Yamaha has acquired 10.22% of the common shares of Nexo.
Yamaha has over 30 years of mixing console development and manufacturing experience, with more than a 15-year history in digital mixing console technology, including benchmark products, such as PM1D and PM5D. Yamaha is also well known for its digital signal processors such as the DME24N/64N, power amplifiers, including the advanced PC-1N Series, and various commercial loudspeaker solutions.
Nexo is a market leader in concert/touring and installation loudspeakers, including the acknowledged flagship GEO series vertical (line) array speakers and the global standard PS series. Nexo is equally well known for its advanced, proprietary loudspeaker processing technologies.
Design synergy between Yamaha and Nexo products, in response to the increasing demand for integrated professional audio systems, was key to each company's decision to combine technologies and products through on-going joint-development projects.
