Keri Noble relies on Electro-Voice RE510 condenser mic

Keri Noble with E-Voice condensor microphone RE510 EV is announces Manhattan/EMI recording artist Keri Noble joining its family of microphone endorsers. Keri's debut 'Fearless' is an impressive collection of originals that infuses her impassioned singer-songwriter stylings with a pop sensibility. With executive production by Arif Mardin, 'Fearless' ranges from heartfelt ballads to upbeat numbers that illuminate Keri's rich and expressive vocal range. For her vocal performance Keri relies on the EV RE510 professional condenser vocal microphone which she used during a successful tour in Japan and on tour with Jonny Lang.
Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Noble grew up in song-rich Detroit. Like many great singers who hail from Detroit, Noble developed her vocal talents in a church choir, and wasn't exposed to pop or rock music until high school. It was then that her friends got her listening to Detroit radio stations spinning urban, R&B and hip hop hits. A few years later, a friend at college introduced her to the music of Joni Mitchell.
It was Mitchell's classic album 'Blue' that inspired Noble to ponder her musical future. "'d never heard of Joni Mitchell," she says. "I thought, does, anyone know who this woman is?" Soon Noble realized that, like Mitchell, she could find an outlet in music to express herself and her emotions. As the songs begin to flow, Noble quit college and set out to pursue a musical career. "I waited tables and kept writing," she says. "At one point, people who heard me playing at home encouraged me to play ay the local coffeehouse."
She got experience playing in front of people as well as honing her songwriting skills. "I played three times a week, mostly in Detroit coffeehouses that sat about 80 people. It was just me, my keyboard and a portable sound system."
She relocated to Minneapolis after Narada Recording Artist Billy McLaughlin offered her a showcase there. Through McLaughlin, Noble met artist/producer Jeff Arundel who helped her to demo some of her songs. With Arundel producing, Noble recorded 'Fearless' in Minneapolis and New York. Supported by a core band in addition to strings on some tunes, the CD captures the singer-songwriter performing live in the studio.
