QSC will feature the new two-channel DSP-3 Digital Signal Processor at the Audio Engineering Society tradeshow September 22-25 in Los Angeles.
The DSP-3 is a compact digital signal processing solution that eliminates the need for expensive outboard processing gear and frees up valuable rack space. The DSP-3 offers two channels of independent digital signal processing - including crossover filters, shelf filters, signal delay, compression, peak limiting, parametric filters - in a compact module that attaches to the back of most DataPort-equipped amplifiers, including the PowerLight 2 Series for live sound/portable applications.
Configuration is made simple with a user-friendly "drag-and-drop" software application. A DSP "toolbox" with icons and simple drawingtools can be used to configure processing functions and signal flow. The software package also offers real-time control and set-and-forget convenience, as configurations can be saved and recalled for future use. The host interface is via a RS-232 serial port for added simplicity.  Other DSP-3 functions include a two-to-one mixer, signal splitter, signal mute, 0.1 dB attenuation steps, signal polarity reversal, 24-bit, 48kHz converters, built-in tone and noise generators and selectable 1.5v/4v/9v/18v input sensitivity.
QSC will exhibit the DSP-3, PowerLight 2 amplifiers, and other products at booth #1246.
