In summer 2003 HK Audio launched a re-designed L.U.C.A.S 1000 system with a new subwoofer delivering up to 6dB more sound pressure at low frequencies.
At prolight+sound 2001 in Frankfurt HK Audio unveiled the prototype of L.U.C.A.S 1000 - in June 2001 the first products started rolling out. With L.U.C.A.S 1000, the HK AUDIO active systems family extends offering more powerful performance and professional features. Coming in a compact package with one subwoofer and two mid/high units L.U.C.A.S. became an instant succes with more than 10.000 sold. This L.U.C.A.S model's two satellites are loaded with an 8" low/mid speaker and a ¾" driver with 90° x 40° CD horn providing high speech intelligibility. The satellites are driven by a 2 x 150W power amp. Originally developed for high-end recording, an Opto-limiter as well as HK Audio's OFR technology deliver clean and transparent sound. The compact 15" subwoofer is powered by a 600W amp. The DynaClip limiter and a subsonic filter make maximum use of energy, delivering a powerful bottom end punch. The top-mounted control panel is easy to be watched and handled from above. Courtesy of a tried-and-true L.U.C.A.S method - the satellites are simply strapped onto the subwoofers factory-equipped with casters - the L.U.C.A.S 1000’s cabs are easy to transport. The new system will be on show at PLASA 2003 in London, Earl's Court. |
