At winter NAMM 2003 in Anaheim Samson introduced the C02 pencil condenser microphone. The C02 is designed for use with acoustic instruments, cymbals, percussion, piano and in overhead applications.
The microphones feature a cardioid condenser pickup pattern, gold-plated XLR connectors and are sold as a stereo pair in a rugged carry case. Also included are two shock mount mic clips.
For example, pencil condensers are useful for acoustic guitars. Use the pencil condenser on the neck of an acoustic guitar in conjunction with a large diaphragm condenser on the sound hole.
