Tapco 6912 passive speaker Previewed at winter Namm show 2006, new Tapco products for 2007 comprise the Thump TH-15A active loudspeaker and the Series 69 passive loudspeakers as well as the Link.FireWire 4x6 audio interface. Highlighted at winter Namm 2007, the new products will be showcased at prolight+sound 2007, Frankfurt.
Designed by the same team that produced Mackie’s best-selling compact active loudspeakers, the Thump TH-15A active loudspeaker’s two-way bass reflex (ported) design provides accurate response, from 20kHz all the way down to 40Hz. Class D circuitry drives its custom 15-inch woofer to greater volumes with less heat. Additional onboard electronics include full system protection and 3-band EQ with swept midrange. With its durable polypropylene enclosure, the TH-15A is as lightweight as it is powerful and compact.
Tapco’s Series 69 loudspeakers are designed to deliver professional quality at an affordable price. For maximum portability, they are made as compact as possible without sacrificing performance or efficiency. Series 69 Loudspeakers feature premium drivers, PVC vinyl-covered wood enclosures, and custom-molded thermoplastic edge bumpers. The Series 69 passive loudspeaker family includes the 6912, a 12-inch two-way system; the 6915, a 15-inch two-way system; the 6925, a dual 15-inch two-way system, and the 6918s 18-inch passive subwoofer.
The bus-powered Link.FireWire 4x6 audio interface is a portable, versatile recording solution for musicians, composers and producers. Compatible with both Mac and PC, Link.FireWire 4x6 features a versatile 4-input/6-output format, low-latency 24-bit/96kHz operation, dual Mackie mic preamps and includes Mackie Tracktion Music Production Software. Link.FireWire 4x6 will be available April 2007.
