Almost forty years ago, the Ovation Roundback proved that there was a different way to build an acoustic guitar - a guitar that would sound fuller, play easier and stand up to the rigors of the road. From the start, pro musicians loved the Roundback. Showing at winter NAMM show 2004, the new Ovation USA LX models include some very new ideas plus some enhancements to proven design.
On the acoustic side, there's a new scalloped bracing pattern that puts more depth and richness into the tone, while still maintaining the signature Ovation balance and clarity. The new "Lyrachord GS" body uses Glass Microsphere technology to increase projection and strength while reducing weight. Plug in an LX and get the performance of Ovation's Original Patented Pickup and the new OP-PRO preamp.
The new Advanced Neck System features a dual-action truss rod for precise relief adjustments and carbon fiber stabilizers that keep the fingerboard perfectly aligned at the neck-to-body joint. Ovation LX models are available in Standard Balladeer, the new Standard Elite, Legend, and Elite families.
