Carlsbro sponsors UK’s Bloodstock festival

Carlsbro used the opportunity of Winter NAMM 2014, Anaheim, CA, to announce its major sponsorship of Bloodstock Open Air 2014, the UK’s biggest and longest running heavy metal festival. Announcing the famous British guitar amp company’s partnership with Bloodstock 2014 on the Carlsbro stand at NAMM and signing the agreement with Bloodstock Director Adam Gregory, Carlsbro’s International Business Development, Sales and Marketing Director, Paul Brewis, commented, “This is a unique opportunity for Carlsbro to promote itself as the amp brand of choice. The festival and its incredible line up of bands is a perfect fit with our ethos and revamped product range. Having played at Bloodstock myself and attended as a fan on many occasions, I have a real affinity with the festival and it’s family orientated feel, and I am delighted we are supporting it in 2014.“
“It will also be a perfect springboard for a whole new range of all valve premium UK designed and engineered amps and cabinets, with which will make a great sonic statement, allowing both potential end users and artists to get hands-on with the kit throughout the festival.”
Commenting for Bloodstock, Adam Gregory said, “It’s great that Carlsbro has teamed up with Bloodstock this year and we can’t wait to see the new amps on stage. Having had a sneak peak at what’s coming, I have to say WOW! I’ll have to start playing guitar so I can get one! It’s great that Paul has been such a fan of the festival and we look forward to great things to come.”
Carlsbro will see its branding appear on all posters, flyers and advertising for the event, as well as on the official Bloodstock website. In addition, the company will supply backline for all four stages and run competitions in conjunction with the festival and the other sponsors.
The four-day event runs from Thursday 7th through Sunday 10th August at Catton Park, Walton-upon-Trent, Derbyshire in the UK, and features four stages; the main Ronnie James Dio Stage, the Sophie Lancaster Stage, the New Blood Stage and the Jägermeister Stage. The event attracts 15,000 metal heads and features over 100 acts. The 2014 lineup includes headliners Megadeth, Emperor and Down, as well as Amon Amarth, Carcass, Hatebreed, Lacuna Coil, Children of Bodom, Saxon and many more.
The LiveStream of the event saw over 1.2 million viewers from around the world logging on to check out the performances. Previous headlining bands have included Slayer, Machine Head, Alice Cooper, Lamb of God, Motörhead and King Diamond.
