30 years of Schecter Guitar research

In celebration of Schecter Guitar Research’s 30th anniversary, the Anniversary Collection was introduced at Winter Namm 2006. Five models in the limited edition collection feature various upscale appointments as solid exotic tone wWoods, custom Seymour Duncan pickups with commerative engraved covers, special dual-finish Tone Pros bridges and Sperzel tuners. Each of thesel instruments will also be adorned with Schecter’s 30th Anniversary logo inlaid in Abalone on the fingerboard.
The latest addition to Schecter’s Hellraiser Collection is the Avenger. A 25 ½” scale mahogany neck is set into the arched mahogany body via Schecter’s sleek ‘Ultra Access neck joint, which allows for unobstructed upper fret access. The 24-fret rosewood fingerboard is adorned with Gothic Cross inlays.
Also, Schecter has adeed the Floyd Rose equipped C-1FR to their Hellraiser collection. An Original Floyd Rose locking tremolo system provides rock solid tuning stability.
All Hellraiser series guitars are armed with EMG’s active 81/85 humbuckers yielding massive attack, definition and sustain. Grover tuners and a locking TonePros bridge are standard features. All guitars in the Hellraiser Collection are available in Black Cherry (which also features a Quilted maple top and Abalone trim) and Gloss Black.
A new ‘upscale’ version of Schecter’s single-cutaway model Tempest debuted at winter Namm. The Tempest Classic’s bound arched mahogany body has a 24 ½” scale set-in mahogany neck. A 22-fret ebony fingerboard, clay dots inlays, Grover tuners and a fully adjustable TonePros locking bridge are standard features. The soul of the Classic is the dual Seymour Duncan ’59 model humbuckers, which can be ‘tapped’ via the push/pull tone control to emulate a single coil. The Tempest Classic is available in Vintage Gold Top.
