Ovation expands its hybrid VXT series

At winter NAMM show Ovation showcased its expanded hybrid VXT offering with new finishes, exotic tops and a lower priced model. The VXT was introduced in May 2007 as one model available in Sunburst and Black finish options. In addition to its Black and Sunburst predecessors, VXT models will now be available in Cherry Trans and Cinnamon Burst finishes. Deluxe VXT models featuring new exotic Flame Maple tops were also added to the 2008 lineup. Deluxe VXTs will be available in '59 Burst and Brown Sugar Flame finishes.
Ovation will also be introducing a lower priced VXT in two new finish options. The VXT Standard is based on Ovation's popular Elite T guitar and features a maple neck, one-piece poplar body, textured body finishes, Seymour Duncan P90 pickups, and, like the original VXT, VIP microphone imaging technology that controls the acoustic output. Available in Black and Titanium Silver finishes.
Ovation's VXT allows you to pan from sweet acoustic finger style to hard driving power chords with just the turn of a knob. Two Seymour Duncan '59 Humbucking pickups supply plenty of electric power while Ovation's VIP (Virtual Image Processing) preamp provides a natural, studio quality acoustic sound. A chambered mahogany body creates a rich depth for both the electric and acoustic modes.
