Fishman introduces re-vamped Rare Earth pickups

Rare Earth pickup by Fishman Unveiled at winter NAMM show 2008, Fishman introduced the completely redesigned versions of its Rare Earth single coil and Humbucking models at Musikmesse Frankfurt. The new Rare Earth Single Coil and Humbucking pickups have been carefully re-voiced and fine-tuned to offer an even smoother treble response than their popular predecessors.
Equipped with cutting-edge neodymium magnets, the new Rare Earth pickups offer a warmer, more naturally acoustic tone, along with exceptional accuracy and increased musicality. Both Rare Earth models are designed to ensure that players always get a pure, clean sound with excellent string-to-string balance and a smooth response throughout the frequency range.
With a newly designed mounting system and ergonomic body shape for ease of installation and use, the Rare Earth pickups also feature miniature batteries that mount quickly and conveniently on the underside of the pickup. A special low current design allows up to 300 hours use between battery changes.
The new models can be easily installed with no invasive modifications. Featuring a pre-wired output jack that can also be endpin mounted, the new Rare Earth pickups fit in sound holes as small as 3-5/8" (92mm) diameter.
