|At Musikmesse Frankfurt hall 5.0, stand B22 Wersi will showcase its latest addition to the family of Opean Art System (OAS) instruments, the intelligent keyboard Ikarus which was launched at the winter NAMM show 2004 in Anaheim, California. Ikarus takes the powerful sound generation and the vast range of applications including an on-board production facility with the possibiltiy to even burn CDs without leaving your stool to a very portable instrument.
Deriving from the design of the 2-keyboard model Abacus, Ikarus feature s a 76-key, weighted keyboard with after-touch and split functions as well as a light weight, portable aliminium housing. Based on an AMD Athlon processor computer mainboard with added hardware extenisons the instrument combines a highly intelligent musical instrument with the possibilities of a fully functional Windows XP system including optional CD /DVD burner, internet acces and use of all the software available for a standard PC.
Ikarus sports a drawbar organ, 312 Long Wave sample sounds, 128 Long Wave GM sounds, Akai s1000/3000 compatibility, 230 styles, raltime MIDI sequencer, digital mixer, effects processing , karaoke facilities and more. Live performance is made easy with up to 2000 total presets, many direct access keys and touch screen control.
