Simon Phillips Mel Gaynor
Clavia releases a new batch of ddrum4 Mega Drumkits Signature Series for their ddrum4electronic drum system. Four top session drummers contribute with their original acoustic drum kits recorded at the Galaxy studio. Drummers are Simon Phillips, Dennis Chambers, Kenny Aronoff and Mel Gaynor. The recording sessions took place in one of Europe's biggest studios, the highly sophisticated Galaxy studio in Belgium, during the autumn of 2000.
The drummers use their own typical setup with drums and cymbals with their tuning, choice of drum heads etc. All sounds recorded are played by each individual drummer. From each session Clavia carefully selected and processed the sounds and tailored them to fit their ddrum4 drum system. By downloading the Signature Series drumkits from the Clavia website, ddrum4 owners are able to play and use the drum sounds from these top drummers. As always, the ddrum4 Mega Drumkits Signature Series are free of charge.
Each individual instrument in the Signature Series is built up by a vast number of samples tocatch every nuance from the acoustic drum. The ddrum4 Signature Series drumkits are  designed for drummers that appreciate a more acoustic feel from the ddrum4 drum system.
The ddrum4 system is built around the ddrum4 sound module and can be controlled from ddrum4 Cast Precision Pads, ddrum4 Cast Cymbal and Cast Hihat pads and ddrum Triggers. The ddrum4 system offers fast trig response and natural dynamics for playability and feeling.
