Samson introduce Q series of dynamic drum mics

At winter NAMM show 2003, Samson introduced a complete line of dynamic drum microphones. The Q Series dynamic drum microphones are designed for high SPL to provide clear drum tones in the studio or on stage. The Q Snare's capsule has been specially designed to accurately reproduce the frequencies and SPL of snare drums. The mic features a rugged casing, cardioid polar pattern, flat frequency response, gold-plated XLR connector and a rigid rim-mount mic clip with cable management. Q Tom dynamic drum mics are sold in a three pack and are designed to complement to the Q Snare. The high SPL dynamic Q Tom in a rugged casing is voiced particularly for toms and features a cardioid polar pattern, flat frequency response and a gold-plated XLR connector rim-mount. A 3KIT road case is included. The rigid Q Kick dyynamic drum mic sports a huge diaphragm element, cardioid polar pattern, gold-plated XLR connector and comes with a mic stand swivel mount and a carry case. Samson offer different kits including a complete set of dynamic drum mics and a pair of C02 pencil condensers for overheads or close-micing cymbals. The set features one Q Kick mic, one Q Snare, three Q Tom mics, the condensers and a road case.
