|Writing to DVD+/-R at 8x speed and also quickly and reliably burning DVD+RW, TEAC launched its latest DVD+/-RW solution. The drive features an ATAPI interface and comes with a comprehensive Windows software bundle. It also works perfectly with free Linux operating system. Linux users need to download cdrecord and ProDVD support. Featuring 8x recording speed in DVD+/-R format, the latest TEAC DVD burner is twice as fast as its predecessor. The drive burns DVD+RW formats at 4x, DVD-RW at 2x speed. 24x is possible using a CD-RW. CD-Rs can be written at 40x speed.
Installed with the latest version 6 from Nero, which includes movie editing, DVD compression and the audio CD options. Also featuring a highly efficient backup system, Nero 6's re-designed user interface simplifies CD and DVD processing. Highlight of the latest Nero package is the VisionExpress tool allowing videos to be directly recorded in DVD format. Slide shows can be created with cross fade effects and a soundtrack can be added.
