Reggae, afrobeat and funky sound will
send good vibrations to the audience at the largest ever beach party in
the Czech Republic, the Irie Beach Open Air Summer Festival on August 25th
atPrague. The open-air event will take place on an island on the river
Moldau in the "Golden City". Headlining are the reggae groups "Earl 16"
and "Alton Ellis", both from Jamaica. Starting in the early afternoon at
1 pm about 60 musicians and DJs will perform on two stages. Visitors are
invited to join workshops about "African Drum" and Dance. Rasta food
and vegetarian meals are available as well as icecream, fruit and drinks.
Further on stage will be the "All Welcome Crew" (Jamaica/UK), "C.K.W.W." (Sierra Leone/Poland), "George Darko & African Foundation Band" from Ghana along with the local bands "Hermakuti", "Synergy", "Nyabingi Warriors" and "Dub-O-net". Tickets are 400 Crowns, which is less than US$ 10. |
