Tony Bennett to open North Sea Jazz Festival 2003

Tony Bennett who already had a US number 1 hit in 1951 with 'Because of you' successfully performed at the 2000 North Sea Jazz Festival in The Hague, The Netherlands, and again is opening the 2003 festival in The Hague on July 10th 2003. Tony Bennett had his greatest succes in the early 60s with 'I left my heart in San Francisco' (two Grammy awards), tried some rock in the seventies and succeeded in the early 80s at an MTV Unplugged session with K.D. Lang and Elvis Costello.
