Suitable for broadcast, recording and live sound applications, AKG's C1000S condenser microphone is popular with engineers and musicians due to its versatality and sound. Adding a battery status control AKG have further enhanced handling and reliability of the budget friendly microphone.
If no phantom power is available the C1000S is powered by an internal standard 9 V battery. The battery control electronic adds a reliable warning function with an LED. As soon as there will be less then the expected remaining operating time of 45 minutes available the red LED above the switch flashes. A short light signal after switching on the microphone indicates a fresh battery. When phantom powered the LED is not in operation.
Still the polar pattern can be changed from cardioid to hypercardioid by simply mounting the supplied PPC Polar Pattern Converter on the capsule. Also still supplied with the C1000S is the PB1000 presence boost adapter for improved intelligibility adding 3 to 5 dB of high-end enhancement between 5 and 9 kHz.
The new C 1000S with battery status LED comes in AKG's sound tool case.
