New cutting edge monitor from Tannoy to be shown at IBC 2006

Tannoy Precision near field reference monitors, are already serving the demanding needs of professionals in recording, broadcast and post production environments. iDP (Interactive Digital Programming) technology has now been incorporated within two new Precision monitors - Precision 6iDP and 8iDP. These and other Tannoy studio monitors will be featured on the HHB Communications stand (8.554) at IBC show 2006, Amsterdam.
The flexible and intelligent Precision iDP active monitoring systems bring together the highly respected Tannoy Dual Concentric point source drive unit and WideBand technology with the latest cutting edge digital processing from TC Electronic.
DSP technology, networking intelligence and class D digital amplifiers, along with Tannoy’s acoustic expertise, combine to produce a new level of performance and operation convenience in studio monitors. The built-in EQ capability of Precision iDP allows the user to compensate for acoustic anomalies in the room. Loudspeaker positioning compensation in the software guarantees the same reference sound irrespective of their placement, whether in a corner, against a wall or on top of a console.
Tannoy and HHB personnel will be on hand at IBC to demonstrate and explain the features of the new monitors.
