ADAM Audio to showcase A5 near-field monitor at 125th AES

ADAM A5 nearfiled monitor At both, the IBC in Amsterdam (Sept 12-16) and the 125th AES, San Francisco (October 02-05, booth 1044), ADAM Audio presents its brand new Studio/Multimedia Monitor A5 which combines sound quality, attractive finishes, and sophisticated handling in a small enclosure. Reduced to 5“, the A5’s tweeter uses the same ADAM proprietary transducer technology (ART) and the same woofer consisting of a sandwich construction of carbon fiber and Rohacell as ADAM Audio's acknowledged A7. Its sound quality and small size, the optional piano finish, and the stereolink make the A5 a versatile loudspeaker for many applications.
The built-in amplifier of 25 W powers the drivers directly. The A5's rear features a panel with numerous possibilities to adapt the loudspeaker to the specific room acoustics or personal preferences. Also, the A5 features both ballanced (XLR) and unballanced (RCA) inputs to ensure connectivity to virtually any application.
The Stereolink is an exclusive technology of the A5: There are additional in- and outputs for a second stereo channel which enable the user to adjust the volume from single control. Unlike the classic ‘master-slave’-technology, Stereolink allows either speakers to be master.
ADAM Audio also offers a new subwoofer, the Sub7 which has been designed to match a pair od A5s. Despite its small size it is capable of extending the reproduction down to 30Hz. Multiple inputs and controls and a remote control for volume and crossover frequency make the Sub7 a perfect match to the A5.
Optionally, desktop stands are available which have been designed to optimise the acoustic performance of the speaker.
