Bobby Shew plays the YTR-8310ZBuilding on the success of the popular YTR-6310Z trumpet, Yamaha has introduced the YTR-8310Z trumpet The stepped bore design of the YTR-8310Z provides players with high efficiency, while the new bell features a "side seam" design with variable wall thickness designed to produce a full, rich sound with a wider spectrum of tone colors and improved projection. The new design features an improved sound making it possible for players to hear themselves better. Used primarily in Jazz and commercial playing, the 8310Z's versatility enables it to be used in most styles of music. This instrument replaces the YTR-6310Z, and will appeal to professionals, college players and advanced high school students.
The trumpet was a collaboration between custom shop designers and world-renowned trumpeter Bob Shew. "This new 8310Z is absolutely great," raves Shew. "I never thought the 6310Z could be improved but you really did it. The bigger, warmer sound is thrilling to hear; my first practice session with the horn produced a new, warm sound and inspired me to write a tune based upon the sound and feel of this wonderful trumpet."
The YTR-8310Z is also avaialble as silver plated model YTR-8310ZS.
