Powersoft launches amplifier modules and Deva multifunctional device

In 2014, Powersoft exhibits at the ISE Show, Amsterdam, for the fifth year, sharing stand 7-K175 with their Dutch distributor TM Audio. Powersoft uses its display area within the TM Audio ‘village’ by exhibiting carefully selected rack amplifiers from their installation range and combining these with graphics, remote monitoring and power modules. Each power amp line is presented with control software and third-party plug-ins — connecting the products with their key applications.
Powersoft launches LiteMod at ISE 2014. An OEM product, LiteMod amp modules are compatible and powerful 2-channel switching mode amplifier modules, delivering up to 800W per channel or 1200W in bridge mode, with a flexible platform designed to fit into active monitors, two-way loudspeakers and small/medium subwoofers.
Providing sonic performance, high dynamic range and low distortion, LiteMod provides clean output power at high volume, thanks to the latest generation compact PFC power supply for reliability and consistency in all operating conditions and low power consumption (less than 0.55W in standby). A dedicated optional DSP board can be plugged into the module providing a complete solution in a compact package.
Deva multifunctional deviceThe DEVA multifunctional device is previewed. Powersoft’s Deva is a patented self-contained multifunctional multimedia device for installation anywhere without the need for cables and with virtually zero installation costs. It integrates solar power, bi-directional WiFi 802.11n A/V communication, audio, camera, microphone, lighting and a Class D amplifier with an 8-inch speaker in a compact, lightweight and weatherproof enclosure rated IP65. Deva is suited to a wide range of applications, from background music to paging, in combination with video and/or audio. Various modules will be used to emphasise Powersoft’s ‘heartbeat’ design in the form of the DigiMod 3004PFC4 + DSP4; DigiMod 2004PFC2; and the 4-channel D-Cell504.
Also highlighted at ISE is the Ottocanali family. The amplifiers feature dual redundant power supplies, allowing great efficiency and reliability, with one power supply operating all channels in case of failure of the other. The dual power supply setup grants flawless worldwide operation with any AC voltage.
The line's flagship is the Ottocanali 12K4, the most powerful 8-channel amplifier on the market, offering a wide range of system control and monitoring functions in 2RU.
Also on show is the Ottocanali 1204 DSP+ETH. The single rack space Ottocanali 1204 offers eight channels, each capable of delivering 160W into 4 ohms (80W into 8 ohms). The design also accommodates optional plug-in output transformers which can convert any of the eight channels to 70V or 100V constant voltage operation at outputs of 130W each. This model also includes DSP functionality for all 8 channels, paired with Ethernet connectivity for full control and monitoring through Armonía Pro Audio Suite software.
Powersoft demonstrates the Duecanali 5204 DSP+AESOP 2-channel power amp (with DSP and networking) for high-performance installed systems. The Italian company also showcases the M50Q DSP + AESOP 4-channel touring amp. Rated at 750W RMS per channel (into 8 ohms), and at four channels bridged to two channels, it has a value of 2,500W RMS per channel (8 ohms).
