APG introduces Uniline-D line source system

Uniline-D by APG Originally launched at Prolight+Sound 2011 as the downfill element of APG’s Uniline line array system, development of the UL210D has continued to the point where it constitutes a system in its own right. Complementing and enhancing the 'Uniline Solution', APG’s pan-European network of Uniline owners/users, the Uniline-D line source system eventually debuted at Prolight + Sound 2012 in Frankfurt.
As a stand-alone system, Uniline-D is suitable for wide dispersion, medium-throw applications including theatre, small to medium-sized concert halls, corporate work, TV studios and more. Considerably lighter than the main Uniline enclosures, Uniline-D nevertheless features the same main components as Uniline for compatibility with no loss of power in the listening field as well as constant horizontal directivity and precise vertical acoustic coupling.
For example, existing Uniline owners get the opportunity to enhance their existing system with additional UL210D enclosures for downfill purposes, which in turn may constitute an independent system for applications requiring less throw/wider coverage yet with the same constant directivity and unrivalled stereo imaging characteristics as the main system.
Uniline-D also provides an entry into the Uniline Solution for rental companies who are not quite ready to invest in the full Uniline system. By starting off with Uniline-D, they have a ready-made versatile, high quality medium throw system that can easily be combined with UL115B and or TB subwoofers for applications requiring a bit more low end, before graduating progressively to the '3-in-1' modular long throw system with UL210, UL210D, UL115 and TB subs in whatever combination best suits their needs.
