EM Acoustics introduces dual 15" flyable subwoofer to its Halo line array

At prolight + sound show 2009 in Frankfurt, Germany, EM Acoustics showcased its Halo line array system, alongside the new Halo-S dual 15" flyable subwoofer as the centrepiece for the stand. EM Acoustics founders Ed Kinsella and Mike Wheeler both were on-hand to answer any queries or questions.
As well as the Halo system, EM Acoustics also revealed two new additions to the EMS Series of multi-purpose loudspeakers. The EMS-51, the smallest product in the range, is a 5"-based compact loudspeaker with a 28mm studio-grade soft dome HF tweeter, including of course one of our signature passive crossover networks. Suitable for every application from theatre fills and delays to pubs and bars, and conference or exhibition work, the EMS-51 features a broad frequency range and high SPL output in a compact and stylish package.
The EMS-122 12" x 1.4" multi-purpose loudspeaker also was on display. New for 2009, this product replaced the workhorse EMS-121, and brings EM Acoustics' 12"-based loudspeaker into line with the rest of the new products in the range. Multi-angled enclosure design allows the 122 to be used as a monitor if required, exposed thread rigging points mean simpler rigging than on the EMS-121. Additionally, the new foam-backed hex punched grille gives a more modern look to this product - in line with the Halo system and the EMS-61. Beneath the grille is a neodymium 12" LF driver, and a 4" voice coil, 1.4" exit neodymium HF compression driver, again matched by an EM Acoustics passive crossover network.
