PLASA 2011 again returned to its traditional venue at Earl's Court exhibition centre in London. There are rumours about the redevelopment of the exhibtion centre, owned by Capital & Counties. The owners ar currently discussing with the boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea to replace the existing centre with flat buildings and retail areas. A new convention centre is also being discussed. As this is expected to take a long time and surely can't get off the ground until after the Olympic Games 2012 in London, it is likely that PLASA 2011 was not the last gathering of the pro audio and lighting industry at Warwick Road on the eastern border of London's congestion charging zone. PLASA 2012 is announced to take place at Earl's Court again from September 9-12, 2012.
