Mark Brunner Shure Incorporated has appointed Mark Brunner (left) and Rob Cappucci (right) to managing directors of two newly created business units. Brunner will manage Shure's Musical Instrument and Touring Sound business unit, while Cappucci will oversee the company's Sound Contracting and Broadcast business unit. Each is responsible for guiding marketing and product development activities within his respective sector of the new corporate structure.
Brunner, who came to Shure in 1989, holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Business Management. Having occupied a number of positions within the company's Marketing Communications Department over the course of his career, he served as Director of Advertising prior to accepting his new assignment.
A graduate of Cornell University with a B.S. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering, Cappucci also holds an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School. His career at Shure began in 1995 as an Assistant Marketing Manager within the company's rapidly expanding wireless products division. He was promoted to Director of Wireless Products in 1998, a post he retained until this promotion.
In their new roles, Brunner and Cappucci will report to Steve Johnson, Vice President, Marketing for Shure. "In moving to a more focused business unit organization structure, we're fortunate to have talented individuals like Rob and Mark to lead the way," notes Johnson. "We're confident that this will result in stronger product offerings to our most important target markets."
