Shure Incorporated names Hibino Corporation of Japan as the company's Distributor of the Year for the Asia/Pacific region in 2002.
"Choosing one distributor to win this award is always a difficult task," said Jane Wilke, Shure's general manager of international sales and market development. "Markets vary tremendously in terms of economic conditions, regulatory factors, and their overall competitive picture. Therefore, in choosing a winner, we had to look not only at sales figures, but at everything else the distributor has done to achieve such success."
A relative newcomer among Shure distribution centers overseas, Hibino wasted little time in establishing a solid Shure presence within its market. While heavily promoting Shure's product line at trade shows large and small, the firm provided its customers with strong service and support via a network of strategically placed satellite offices linked to its main headquarters. A clever ad campaign brought more exposure to the line and hard work and a dedicated staff complemented the firm's overall efforts, resulting in a 25.9% increase in sales over last year.
"Together, all these elements are what make Hibino Corporation our Regional Sales Award winner," Wilke added. "Everyone at Shure joins me in congratulating them on a job well done, and extends wishes for their continued prosperity in the future."
