Taylor Guitars promotes Brian Swerdfeger

Brian Swerdfeger Taylor Guitars co-founders, CEO Kurt Listug and President Bob Taylor, announced the appointment of Brian Swerdfeger as vice president of marketing and sales. In his new role, Swerdfeger, who had been serving as vice president of marketing, will utilize his expansive industry expertise to develop and implement integrated strategies to lead both divisions of the company. He will continue to report to Kurt Listug.
Swerdfeger joined the company in 2003 as an independent marketing and product consultant. In 2007, he accepted a full-time position as the director of product marketing, leading a team that was responsible for consumer and trade events. Swerdfeger was instrumental in developing the hugely successful Taylor Guitars Road Show, a series of popular in-store events that bring together experts from Taylor’s factory with guitar enthusiasts. Building upon this success, he was promoted to vice president of marketing in 2008, a record year of both production and sales for the company. Since his arrival, he has served as a contributor to the product design group.
