SWR Redhead combo bass amplifier redesigned for its 20th anniversary

SWR Redhead combo bass amplifier redesigned in 2008 2008 marks the 20th anniversary of a love affair between bassists and one of the most influential bass combo amplifiers in history – the SWR Redhead. The original Redhead, introduced in 1988, combined SWR’s full-range tube preamp with a robust solid-state power platform into a rock solid, yet easily portable 2 X 10 cabinet. Loaded with two state-of-the-art 10” speakers and a high frequency horn, the Redhead sounded phenomenal and offered unprecedented patching options designed to meet the standards of discerning bassists, whether playing live or in the studio. Twenty years later, its features are far more than just relevant – they remain industry standards.
In celebration of this 20th anniversary, SWR introduces the newly redesigned Redhead bass amplifier. Embodying more than just a face lift, the new Redhead design incorporates innovative and attractive new features which will be unveiled at winter NAMM show 2008.
