Ovation continues with the Collectors' Edition

Ovation Instruments at NAMM announced its most recent addition to
the long running Collectors' Edition series of limited production instruments.
The 2001 Collectors' is the 20th in an annual series that began in 1982.
This year Ovation has procured a supply of rare figured Redwood for
the soundboards. These solid tops are coated with clear finish to show
the natural beauty of the wood grain and have a tonality that resembles
cedar top guitars. Features include a mid-depth cutaway body, OP24+ C pre
amp with chromatic tuner, and a Kaman Bar-reinforced five-piece neck.
The 2001 Collectors' Series will be available in both multi-soundhole
and single round-soundhole configurations. These two configurations not
only look very different, but offer different sound qualities. Availability
of the new models will vary from country to country.
The multi-soundhole version of the 2001 Collectors' Series is model
number 2001-FR (figured Redwood), while the round soundhole version
is model 2001L-FR.
