Maven Peal ships Ganesha 1->100

Maven Peal Instruments announced that the first Ganesha 1->100 watt heads began shipping May 2003. With patented Wattage and Sag control, the Ganesha also debuts Maven Peal's new DualQuadFX and BiaSmart features.
“We've been overwhelmed with requests to make a plexi-style amp that offers control over preamp distortion as well as power amp distortion,“ explains David Zimmerman, president and circuit designer. “We're having a lot of fun with the Ganesha, it's an amazingly versatile amp. DualQuadFX, which is completely by-passable, gives players a total of six footswitchable modes. And BiaSmart is a joy to use. You can actually bias each tube individually with a screw driver and an ammeter without taking the amp apart.“
The Ganesha has a signal path similar to a jumpered plexi with two volume knobs, bass, mid, treble and presence alongside Maven Peal's Wattage and Sag controls. Wattage control allows guitarists to continuously adjust the actual number of watts the amp is producing, from one to 100 watts, allowing you to overdrive the power amp at whatever volume is appropriate for the venue you are in.
Sag control allows guitarists to adjust voltage sag, or power amp distortion. Lower amounts of sag give the amp a harder feel and brighter sound, while higher amounts of sag fatten up the sound and make the amp very touch responsive.
The Ganesha also offers four new switches: pull/bright on both volume knobs, along with preamp boost and power amp boost. In addition to 16, 8 and 4 ohm speaker outputs, the Ganesha's back panel offers Maven Peal's new DualQuadFX and BiaSmart features.
The footswitchable DualQuadFX gives you five knobs and two jacks to control four very different effects dimensions. Two 12AX7s instead of the normal one are used to make this unique and versatile effects loop.
BiaSmart allows players to easily measure and bias each tube individually with a standard ammeter (via the gold plated ¼“ rear panel jacks) and the turn of a small inset pot.
The Ganesha is made with audiophile quality components, a finger-jointed, solid clear pine naked cabinet, four premium matched JJ/Tesla E34L output tubes and five Sovtek 12AX7LP preamp tubes.
