Genz Benz unveils NEO-X 400 bass combo amp

Genz Benz unveils the lightweight and powerful NEO-X Bass combo at the winter NAMM Show 2004 in Anaheim, California. Based on the success of its GBE600 bass amp and NEO-X speaker cabinet, Genz Benz has now brought the best of both worlds together in one portable powerhouse. With 400 watts of power at its disposal, the NEO-X combo utilizes a custom 12" Neodymium speaker, which ensures a fast, transient tonal response, and a variable level compression tweeter to dial in the perfect amount of attack. All this comes in a very portable 28.2 kg. design. The NEO-X Bass Combo features a 2 channel preamp (F.E.T. and 12AX7 tube preamp), 400 watts @ 4 ohms with extension speaker, 300 watts @ 8 ohms, compression tweeter with variable level control, 2-button footswitch for preamp mix and/or channel selection. An optional footswitch is available to access 3 signal shape circuits and muting.
