At winter NAMM show Fishman Transducers announced that it started shipping the Loudbox high-power, three-way acoustic amplifier. Capable of delivering clarity and power, these sophisticated tri-amped powerhouses deliver studio-quality sound at high volume levels. "The Loudbox amps are a huge step forward for onstage acoustic amplification," says founder and president Larry Fishman.
Immediately available is the 250-watt, single-channel Loudbox, equipped with an 8" woofer, 4" polypropylene mid driver and two soft-dome neodymium tweeters, each with components housed in their own sealed enclosures. Versatile, the Loudbox features a high impedance input with an EQ section comprised of bass, treble, midrange and brilliance controls. Anti-feedback circuitry (notch and phase) keeps acoustic feedback under control. A spring reverb, mute switch, effects loop and an XLR output complete the features. A convenient three-position kickstand lets the player tilt the amplifier back as a floor monitor. A powerful 500-watt, two-channel Loudbox Pro with a 12" woofer, 6" midrange and three tweeters will follow later in the year. |
