Epiphone unveils five guitars, one bass and a banjo at Namm

Epiphone ES-175 Epiphone introduced seven new models during winter Namm 2006. All instruments will also be on show at Musikmesse Frankfurt 2006.
The ES-175's classic hollow-body was first launched by Gibson in 1949, 2006 will bring Epiphone's ES-175 reissue. With its laminated maple top, mahogany body and pair of Alnico Classic humbuckers, this reissue offers the same dark and sultry tone as the original, while a hard maple neck and rosewood fingerboard ensure the performance matches any modern design.
For 2006, Epiphone launches a Worn Studio version of the Firebird's cherished electric design, complete with faithful body styling, a set neck and full-size Alnico Classic humbuckers. It looks like a vintage, and plays like one too, but Steinberger 40:1 direct-drive tuners deliver tuning precision of this millenium.
The Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plain Top is an affordable version of the axe that's been thrashed by everyone from Jimmy Page to Slash. This model features a traditional solid mahogany body, unfigured maple top, glued-in mahogany neck, and the trusty tune-o-matic/stop bar combination . A pair of Alnico Classic humbuckers supply that sound.
The new Epiphone Les Paul Special Bass with flawless weight distribution and 34" scale length sports a solid mahogany body and glued-in maple neck to produce a deep and expressive tone, while two specially designed Alnico bass humbuckers and separate volume/tone controls provide versatility.
The New Masterbilt EF-500RCCE is a solid acoustic 'fingerstyle' model meeting the demand amongst acoustic players for quality instruments at competitive prices. Featuring a solid rosewood body and a solid cedar top, the EF-500RCCE's L.R. Baggs acoustic/electric piezo pickup ensures that its tone cuts through in any context.
The MB-100 is known as the 'first pick' banjo because of its keen pricing and inviting performance. With no resonator (and therefore a lighter weight) theis new 5-string model is perfect for impromptu jam sessions and musicians on the move. Lastly, there's the PR-4E Acoustic/Electric Player Pack. This all-in-one set contains everything you need, including the new PR-4E acoustic/electric from Epiphone, plus a 15watt acoustic amplifier and all required accessories.
