![]() The Fishman Aura On-board Acoustic Sound Image system for capturing and recreating a guitar’s natural tone that only distance, air, and a high-quality microphone can produce. This technology allows acoustic guitar players to play with a more natural sound either on stage or in the recording studio. All four Alvarez models were meticulously documented using a carefully selected range of vintage and modern microphones at Fishman’s recording facility. Six of the best sounding images were then chosen by the Alvarez and Fishman teams and integrated into the onboard electronics. Each sample can be individually selected and mixed with the bridge piezo to re-create the natural acoustic sound of each guitar. Players can choose from the six acoustic sound images such as Neuman KM-84 recorded at 16 inches, Neuman U87 recorded at 16 inches, Soundelux E47 recorded at 4 feet, Shure SM57 recorded at 16 inches, Earthworks QTC30 recorded at 6 inches, and Shure SM81recorded at 16 inches. Each acoustic sound image can be modified with the 3-band EQ, and changes can be saved to onboard memory. A digital chromatic tuner accommodates all standard and alternate tunings, and the tuner button acts as a mute for silent, on-stage tuning. The Alvarez Yairi DYM95C Aura cutaway dreadnought and FYM95C Aura cutaway OM folk feature solid rosewood backs and sides, solid hand-scalloped spruce tops, ebony fingerboard, abalone sound hole rosette, ivory multi body binding, and gold die-cast tuning machines. Both the Alvarez Masterworks MD80C Aura cutaway dreadnought and the MF80C Aura cutaway grand concert feature solid mahogany backs and sides, solid Engelmann spruce tops, rosewood fingerboard, natural finish, maple body binding, nickel die-cast tuning machines, and a 12th fret diagonal fingerboard inlay. |
