At Prolight+Sound Frankfurt K.M.E. showed their studio poweramp featuring switchable stereo output to quickly choose out of two pairs of near field monitor speakers. The SPA 160 E is a 1 HE power amp featuring up to date power audio circuit technology. Mainly designed for operation with passive near field monitors for home and project studio use, it not only offers a selection option between two loudspeaker pairs but also independent volume control as a special feature.
Swichting between speaker pairs A and B can be done by using the concentrically positioned mode switch. Both volume controls are used with the two speaker pairs A and B. Both, variations in sensitivity of the passive speakers and volume control can be adjusted. This makes it possible for example to assess a mix more neutrally for A/B comparison.
The inputs are balanced XLR-/ jack sockets.
