SPL adds 'Nugget' mic to its portfolio

SPL Nugget large diaphragm condenser mic SPL expands its portfolio of high-end processor units with a large diaphragm condenser mic. The SPL Nugget Model 2275 is designed for demanding applications in professional recording, broadcast and live sound. Based on elements of the known AT40 series by Audio-Technica, it features a 1"-diaphragm, low noise transformerless circuitry, 48 V phantom power and the basic specifications of the AT40 series.
The Nuggetsports an externally-polarized (DC bias) true condenser design with its large diaphragm tensioned specially to provide smooth, natural sonic characteristics, a wide dynamic range, high-spl capability, and the transformerless circuitry to virtually eliminate low-frequency distortion.
Further features of the Nugget are switchable 50 Hz hi-pass filter, and 10 dB pad, shock mount included, cardioid polar pattern, frequency response 20-20,000 Hz, dynamic range 133 dB (typical 1 kHz at max. spl), open circuit sensitivity -32.5 dBV at 1 Pa (23.7 mV/Pa), output impedance 57.5 ohms, signal to noise ratio 82.3 dB (1 kHz at 1 Pa), max. input sound level 145 dB (1 kHz at 1% T.H.D.), weight 12,35 oz (350 g).
