Conn-Selmer introduces new Holton collegiate tuba models

Conn-Selmer announces new additions to the Holton Collegiate line of student brass instruments. The Holton line is bringing new models that exceed the quality standards normally seen for instruments at student level prices.
Two new models are available in the Holton Collegiate line. Model BB430R is a ¾-size Tuba, perfect for junior high students. This instrument has a .640” bore, 13.8” upright bell, three top-action pistons and a sturdy hard shell plastic case with wheels. The BB440R 4/4 Tuba has a .640” bore, 15.75” upright bell, four top-action pistons and a sturdy hard shell plastic case with wheels.
“With more low-priced instruments of questionable character and lineage coming into the band instrument market, we knew it was time to provide a better choice,” said Mike Kamphuis, Conn-Selmer director of marketing for background brass. “These Holton Collegiate instruments offer incredible value and are supported by full warranties and service of Conn-Selmer and Conn-Selmer dealers.”
The Holton Collegiate tubas is worthy of the talents of any band student. All the models offer players flexibility and control throughout the tuba repertoire. The ergonomically placed valve section and compact size of these instruments make them ideal for any school band or orchestra.
