Innovative Swiss wind instrument specialists share one NAMM booth

At Winter NAMM 2013 you can find three innovative Swiss companies by visting booth #3001, Hall D. Swiss Carbon fiber trumpets, a new Inderbinen Flugelhorn, Spiri 'Vario' trumpet and more will be showcased at NAMM.
Specialized in wind instruments made from carbon fiber composites, the company daCarbo presents its latest signature trumpet named 'Toni Maier'. Featuring an exchangeable lead pipe, tuning slide and bell, the Toni Maier Signature Bb trumpet is easy to customize.
The instrument also features heavy valve section, high quality piston valves and an ML bore. The carbon fibre bell's diameter is 139 mm / 5.47 inches. Details may be customized, for example the water keys or finger supports.
Like all daCarbo-trumpets, the 'Toni Maier' is desigend to provide an incredible response. The extraordinary large bell enables a powerful projection also in the upper registers. Providing improved contro, the sound is also reflected back to the trumpeter. The low resistance airflow makes the ML bore feel like an L bore. The sound of this instrument is describe both warm and brilliant.

Inderbinen brass- and woodwinds manufactures and delivers high end wind instruments for many known musicians. Thomas Inderbinen himself will present his newest Flugelhorn named 'Wood' which has been developed for brass players looking for a very dark and warm sound. Playing the instrument, the musician will notice the difference in sound compared to conventional flugelhorns - a sound that almost seems to originate from a deep resonant wood.
The Wood flugelhorn is made of hand hammered raw brass, it features a bore of 0.432 inches (11 mm), a bell of 6.6 inches (168 mm), and it weighs in at 2.77 lb (1262 g).

Each Spiri 'Vario' trumpet by Musik Spiri is custom-made and unique. An extensive range of lead pipes, tuning slides and bells offers every possible combination with the perinet valves. Featuring Spiri's unique high-precision threaded plug connections, every instrument can be individually assembled to achieve any required sound.
