Reacting to growing demand for their B&S, Hans Hoyer and Melton/Meinl Weston products in France and the US, German based JA Musik strengthened its distribution subsidiaries in France and North America. Both companies, SML SAS in Paris and American Way Marketing / JA Musik USA in Elkhart, IN moved to new, modern, state of the art distribution facilities.
Jakob von Wolff, since April 2007 President of JA Musik GmbH, comments: "Both companies are long-time established distribution-partners in the market for wind-instruments. They have invested considerably into marketing and distribution in their respective markets and their efforts are paying off. Our brands are better known and our products requested. What we need now is a good backbone in regards to staff, organisation and logistics. With the opening of the two new distribution facilities, each one is much better equipped to service their respective local retail base.“
Both new locations benefit from larger showrooms. Roland Miane, President of SML comments: “It was never easier to visit SML: we are close to the Place de la Nation, one of the central places in Europe’s big city of Paris. We hope for many visitors.” Equally, John Musselman, president of JA Musik USA states: "Elkhart is the brasswind capital of the US. Many of the famous US-brands come from here, big music-retail stores are not far. That’s why we will benefit from the music-traffic and we offer everyone the opportunity to get to know our instruments in these new showrooms.” Qualified repair- and service staff stands by for support.
In Paris as well as in Elkhart, big opening days were celebrated. People from the music world, retail-partners, manufacturers, musicians, press and friends followed the invitation of both companies.
