HK Audio installation at Zou County power station

HK Audio's Install Sound range of loudspeakers have found an unusual application at a multipurpose venue which has been built by the Huadian Corporation, one of China's five largest energy suppliers.
The venue is situated at the Huadian Corporation-owned Zou County fossil fuel power plant in Shandong province. HK Audio's Chinese distributor Smart Target Holdings supplied the installation system to Sahndong based contractor Broadtech which was selected to design and install an audio system into the venue. The system comprises two IL 15.1 full range cabinets featuring extended low end response, two IL12.2IL and two 15.2 full range cabinets, two IL 118 high-performance, direct-loaded subwoofers and two PR 112M compact full range cabinets for stage foldback.
Broadtech has a wealth of experience in the broadcast industry, having designed and installed audio systems for TV stations and video production studios. "Zou County power plant theatre is a multipurpose venue which hosts a lot of corporate meetings in addition to performing arts, concerts and theatrical productions," says Broadtech's chief engineer Zhang Zhi Wu. "We recently installed HK Audio into a TV studio producing entertainment shows, which is being used for all sorts of music, speech, drama and other applications, and this installation was very successful. We decided to repeat this success by using HK Audio again, as the requirements for top sound quality and extreme versatility were almost identical in both places."

The Zou County power plant opened in 1983 with four 0.3 million Kilowatt power generators. Today it boasts 2.54 million Kilowatts power generating capacity, with two 1 million Kilowatt super critical generators to be installed in the near future, making the Zou County power plant the biggest in Asia.
