Klein + Hummel to launch CLS series of powered display speakers

Klein + Hummel CLS SpeakerAt prolight+sound 2007, Frankfurt, Klein + Hummel introduces the CLS series of powered retail and information display speakers. Designed for the needs of flat panel display presentations, the K+H CLS series offer a slim line, visually appealing speaker exactly matched to the display size. The built-in special effects processing emulates a 'virtual subwoofer', a dramatic effect giving impact to a display without requiring any additional speakers. When desired, sounds can be made to come from behind the guest providing a more immersive experience. Speakers can be chosen to keep the sound directly in front of the display for sound isolation between areas or in a different configuration to broadcast sound and get attention across a wide area.
The CLS speakers consist of a row of 2” drivers divided into two circuits for stereo or virtual surround applications. The drivers are mounted into a slim aluminium extrusion which has been exactly cut to the most common flat panel display sizes. A universal voltage power amplifier provides up to 107 dB-SPL peak level at 1 meter.
K+H also launches sound columns In a variety of driver sizes including 2”, 3” and 5” full-range formats. These tightly controlled speakers are able to throw a clean layer of sound across wide open areas with exceptionally even coverage. The short units are able to cover small areas with throws up to 3.5 meters while the longer ones are able to project sound up to 12 meters across open rooms.
Optionally, custom variations in length, color, circuiting, passive units and versions with 3” and 5” drivers are also available on request.
