Yamaha demonstrates real time connectivity with different protocols

Stand 1-G31 at PLASA 2009 sees Yamaha Commercial Audio promoting the theme of connectivity, with the stand split into five areas connected together using a variety of audio formats and network protocols, including Dante, CobraNet, EtherSound, MADI and AES/EBU. The stand’s unique design allows these different audio and control networks to be demonstrated in real time, with Yamaha’s European staff on hand throughout the four days of the show to provide hands-on demonstrations using a variety of Yamaha products in real-world situations.
Audinate Dante-MY16-AUD interface cardMaking their UK trade show debuts will be the Audinate Dante-MY16-AUD interface card (distributed exclusively by Yamaha); the IMX644 digital rack-mount mixer; IPA 8200 power amplifier; DME Version 3.5 and the recently-announced updated M7CL V2 mixing console. The SB168-ES scaleable digital stage box solution will also be celebrating a successful first year since it was launched at PLASA 2008.
Complementing these will be all of Yamaha Commercial Audio’s current ranges, including the PM5D, DSP5D and LS9 mixing consoles, a full range of touring and installation amplifiers, Installation Series loudspeakers and the wide range of interface solutions which allow Yamaha digital audio products to seamlessly dovetail into virtually any audio systems which, in many cases, will include remote controlled.
“One of the great values of PLASA is that it gives us an excellent opportunity to communicate face-to-face with the market,” says Karl Christmas, Deputy General Manager of Yamaha Commercial Audio UK. “Great products are of course part of the picture, but it is our ability to understand the needs of our customers and to introduce solutions which benefit their businesses.”
