Regarded as one of the highlights of the Prolight + Sound show 2014, Frankfurt, QSC took its TouchMix Series of highly compact but still very powerful and highly versatile digital mixers for live music applications to the european market. Next stop for TouchMix is Summer NAMM 2014, Nashville, booth #134. Original launch was at Winter NAMM 2014, Anaheim. QSC TouchMix compact digital mixers are designed for musicians, production professionals and live performance venues that need the power and capability of a large “concert” mixing console in a compact, affordable and easy to use form. TouchMix-8 and TouchMix-16 mixers have the functionality to satisfy demanding professionals combined with a range of features and functions that help the less experienced user achieve quality results.
 Features of the TouchMix-16 include 20 full function inputs comprising 12 microphone, four mic/line (XLR/TRS Combo), two stereo Line (TRS), talkback (XLR), and USB 2-track. Outputs include six aux (XLR), two stereo (TRS), main R/L (XLR), Cue (TRS), and monitor (TRS). TRS aux outs drive wired In Ear Monitors (IEM) directly.
Both models of the TouchMix series offer the same channel configuration including 4-band full parametric EQ, variable high-pass and low-pass filters as well as gate and compressor on all input channels. Also four professional quality stereo DSP effects plus a pitch corrector, 1/3 octave graphic equalization, limiters, delay and notch filters on main and aux outputs. Eight DCA and eight mute groups are available.
Also on both models is a colour, capacitive touch screen graphical user interface combined with hardware controls for fast and intuitive operation. Wizards, info and preset libraries assist the user with channel setup, effects selection and more. Remote control is possible via mobile devices, wi-fi interface included.
The TouchMix series offers direct to hard-drive recording and playback of multi-track wave files and the capability of recording all input channels plus a user-selected stereo output pair. |
